Hi, I’m Lauren Ivison. I created Totem Leadership to help leaders and organizations find clarity about where they’re headed and why, and to help them make that vision a reality.

Through nearly two decades of experience as an advisor, attorney, and venture investor, I have accumulated deep business expertise across the natural foods, outdoor, education, and technology industries. I’ve helped founders, owners, and C-suite executives with financial, legal and operational strategies, and I have developed proven methodologies that have transformed individuals and organizations. Because I understand the real-world constraints and challenges of running businesses at all stages, I generate outcomes that are practical, approachable and structured to make a meaningful difference for your business.

I am an engaging facilitator and an incisive thought partner who quickly identifies and tackles key issues. My communication style is clear and concise, and I bring curiosity, optimism and humor to every engagement. 

A Colorado-native, I am an avid skier and traveler. In summer months, you can find me on my mountain bike or hiking with my Aussie Shepherd mix, Maya. I earned a BA from Hamilton College where I was a swimmer and an outdoor leader, and a JD from the University of Colorado.
